Servo Voltage Stabilizer


Q. What is Servo Voltage Stabilizer?
Stabilizer is the Automatic Voltage regulator. It regulates the output power. It produces the output in between 230V ± 1% for your appliance whether the Input Voltage is as low as 90V or as high as 280V.

Q. What is the function of Servo Voltage Stabilizer?
Servo voltage stabilizers are an effective solution to voltage fluctuation problems. They are designed to control a wide range of Input Fluctuations to maintain specified output voltage. The output voltage waveform is completely distortion free and the regulation is unaffected by the load power factor.

Q. How can I protect the appliance from high voltage risk?
Servo voltage stabilizer should have the high voltage protection. In case if the Input is going beyond the 290V AC and output is going beyond 230± 1%, the stabilizer should sense Input and Output condition and cutoff the output supply of the stabilizer. So in this way stabilizer protects the connected appliances.

Q. What is the difference between manual & automatic voltage stabilizer?
In case of manual voltage stabilizer, the output is corrected by manual operation i.e. if O/P voltage increases one has to rotate the switch on its own to make it down and if output voltage decreases he has to rotate the switch to make it up. Thus, if there are sudden changes in the Input voltage. While in the automatic voltage stabilizer all the up and down process are done by automatically with the help of electromagnetic switches (Power relays) so that for the specified Input voltage one gets the specified output voltage. There is absolutely no need to make it up or down manually.

Q. How will I select stabilizer rating for my home/office?
Before selecting the stabilizer you need to know how much power you use. By taking an inventory of all the essential electrical loads in your house / office, and doing a basic electrical load evaluation, you can get a good idea how much power your system needs to produce. Second, you have to know about the power Fluctuation situations i.e. what voltage minimum / maximum you are getting from the main A.C. supply. In brief, you have to select the Input Voltage window and the power consumption of your appliance.

ISOLATION TRANSFORMER


Q. What is Isolation Transformer?
Any transformer, single phase or three phase in which primary and secondary are separately wound (Double wound) is an Isolation transformer as primary and secondary are internally isolated from each other. The power transfer, at rated frequency, is by transformer action through mutual inductance.

Q. Why we need Isolation Transformer?
There is common problem at same sites that power neutral is missing / weak or not available. At this site A/C does not start as voltage does not develop between phase and weak or missing neutral. These Three phases Isolation transformer are designed to get rid of these problems. In the Isolation transformer a new neutral is generated, which is healthy, perfect and has no connection with the neutral of electricity supply and hence unbalancing does not occur resulting in the A/C compressor and machine working perfectly fine.

The modern machines and system need a truly isolated clean power in which any electrical disturbance in the primary side is effectively not passed on to secondary side.
